Funding the Hiteri Foundation in Kathmandu

At La Sororité, we wanted to do something to help support the lower income families of Kathmandu - the Nepalese city where our cashmere pieces are crafted - during this devastating COVID-19 pandemic. So, our Production Manager Riya commenced with a mission to help support the Hiteri Foundation, who have been feeding 100 people daily since the beginning of lockdown this year.

Life has become very difficult in Kathmandu for a lot of families due to the devastation of COVID-19. Many have lost their jobs and are having severe difficulties making ends meet. It is so important that help is there for those who need it and that companies support their workforce’s community in any way they can.

With this campaign, we were able to serve around 1300 meals, as well as distributing 50 food packs to families in need. As Riya herself noted, the difference that we were able to make could be seen clearly in the smiling faces of those who we were able to help. We are so grateful that La Sororité played an important role in making this happen.

Our founder Emma has always believed in giving back since the launch of La Sororité and she has always kept her word. It is now more important than ever that we provide help and relief to those in need, no matter how big or small, near or far. These values have always been so important to La Sororité and we pledge to ensure our continued support to those in need.
